Andy Busch
Andrew B. Busch, MBA, is the director of BMO Capital Markets and a global foreign exchange strategist. He advises institutional and large corporations on foreign exchange hedging and trading strategies. Busch is a recognized expert on world financial markets and how these markets are impacted by political events. A frequent face in the media, he appears at 4:15 p.m. EST every Friday on CNBC's “Closing Bell” with Maria Bartiromo. Busch’s ‘World Event Trading’ Book is Titled “World Event Trading: How to Analyze and Profit from Today’s Headlines . ” The book is designed to provide “techniques for traders looking to understand — and profit from — news events as they occur.” Andy is the Global FX Market Strategist for BMO Capital Markets' Investment Banking Division in Chicago.
He is a recognized expert on the world financial markets and how these markets are impacted by political events. Andy accurately called the Democratic takeover of Congress a full year in advance. His views appear in his daily newsletter, the Busch Update. Mr. Busch consults with the staffs from the US Treasury, Congress, and the White House on economic and market issues on a regular basis. Andy is a University of Chicago MBA and joined BMO Financial Group in the foreign exchange trading room of Harris Trust and Savings Bank, which merged with Bank of Montreal. Prior to joining Harris, he traded foreign exchange at Northern Trust Company.
